Who we are

Reality Take (realitytake.com) is a reality television companion app operated by Abacuventures. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@realitytake.com.

What we collect

• Account data — email address, display name, and profile photo provided at sign-up (via Clerk).
• Usage data — shows you follow, groups you join, messages and predictions you submit, and notification preferences.
• Billing data — if you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription tier; we never see or store your card details.
• Support data — messages you send via the Help page.

How we use it

• To operate the service: show you relevant content, deliver notifications, and process predictions.
• To moderate content and enforce community standards.
• To send product updates and service emails (you can unsubscribe at any time).
• We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not run advertising.

Third-party services

• Clerk — authentication and account management.
• Supabase — database and file storage, hosted in the US.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Vercel — hosting and edge infrastructure.
• Anthropic — AI-assisted content moderation and support (backend only; your messages may be processed by Claude to assist moderation).

Data retention & deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Account deletion removes your profile and personal data within 30 days. Content you submitted (messages, posts) may be retained in anonymised form for community integrity purposes.

Age requirement

Reality Take is for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We'll post material changes on this page with an updated date and notify active users by email where required. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
